BUILD 'EM UP *Typical*
Someone needs help building their home/base; they don’t really care how it’s done either. They’re already incredibly behind schedule; if they don’t get it done soon there could be consequences. Maybe a kind soul could come and help them, or maybe you could just force them to build it themselves. Regardless, it’ll need to get done soon.

Acsull crossed his arms as he surveyed the scene, the aftermath of a brutal attack upon these elderly humans within the mountainside. He had been too late to pursue the attackers who had ravaged this place, their energy signatures disappearing beyond his ability to sense them just as they had touched his senses. Curse them... He had been too late and their escape too swift for him to seek retribution! ...But perhaps these people needn't suffer the scars of their plight for very long. Hopping down from his perch, the Namekian walked right up to the older couple, his expression serious but his eyes welcoming, the man holding his arms out to either side to show he meant no harm. The older man seemed to be withdrawing a number of boards, rocks and ropes from inside the remains of his home, the woman looking on sadly as she bemoaned the loss of her home quietly!
"...Is there anything I can do to help?" Acsull asked, his voice low but soft, a reassuring smile spread across his face! The old man JUMPED, whacking his head on a fallen beam as he jerked up, Acsull wincing slightly at the sight as the man pulled himself out! He was small... and much older than he'd thought! He knew humans lived shorter lives than Namekians, but if this man were his kind, one would scarcely be able to differentiate him from one of the village Elders! The old man, rubbing his head, looked Acsull up and down curiously before folding his hands behind his back.
"You're... a Namekian, right?" He asked, taking Acsull aback! He didn't necessarily expect people out here to recognize his kind, despite the association their people might have had some time ago! Memories were short when they weren't reinforced, especially when the subject in this case rarely played into anyone's lives directly!
"Why, yes. How did you know?" Acsull asked, tilting his head. The old man merely chuckled.
"Your skin and your ears give you away, my boy." The old man tapped his ear with a small smirk, Acsull returning it. He supposed he DID stand out in a crowd, huh? There weren't many... if ANY of his kind around to hide within. "...And yes, we very much could... Those RUFFIANS destroyed my family home... It has been with us for many years and now... its in rubble."
"Yes... I will track them down." Acsull rumbled, crouching as if ready to take off! The old man held his hand out to stop him, shaking his head!
"What good is it if you stop them... if we have no home to return to?" The man asked sagely, rapping a crumbling wall with his knuckle! "I used to be a carpenter back in my youth. I would have been able to make repairs myself but... well... I'm no spring chicken..."
"Spring... chicken?" Acsull echoed, shaking his head. The old man looked at him oddly... then laughed, remembering WHO he was talking to!
"A metaphor, my boy. I'm not as young as I once was. I'm old... feeble. I could use the help in fixing my home." He then withdrew a pocket full of bills, the Zeni that humans used as currency. "I can pay you for your trouble."
"Payment is not necessary." Ascull assured before tossing off his hood/cloak, allowing his lighter-green face glint in the sunlight. "What would you have me do?"

Rhapsody's journey's continued, bringing her to a mostly rocky mountainside with infrequent patches of forestry dotting the landscape. The air was brisk and the temperature pleasant; with fall setting in, cooler climates were on the approach. Winter was always Rhapsody's favorite season, as she seemed to have a special affinity with the cold. However since beginning her journey and feeling the seasons change, she'd taken notice of how the landscape of the rest of the world seemed to change with said seasons. The trees she passed seemed to have discolored leaves and there seemed far fewer animals than usual. While the temperatures seemed to change back in her mountain village, the landscape remained forever constant; no doubt due to the magic of the village Elders. This day, Rhapsody found herself hiking uphill alongside a river that stretched down the mountain. While she'd typically take to flight for her travels, a friend she'd made during her journey had advised her against always taking the easiest solution. If she ever wanted her strength to return to how it once was, then she'd need to put the proper amount of effort into doing so. Though, it was less 'strength' that she sought, and more so 'power'; a somewhat confusing thing to find the differences in, but Rhapsody had no other way of explaining it. Regardless, while she wanted to continue her hike up the mountain as she had until she reached her destination above, something would catch her attention and force her to detour from her path. Her ears would twitch as the sounds of several screaming and cheering filled the air. They sounded near, but with the echos of the mountain it was difficult to tell. Rhapsody would take to flight and head off in the direction of the sounds she heard, curiosity getting the better of her as it often had. As she neared the cheers, she'd be met with the site of a rather large group aboard a few vehicles that raced down the mountain with reckless abandon. One wrong maneuver and someone was sure to hurt themselves, but with how happy and excitable the group seemed to be, Rhapsody figured they could likely handle themselves. Rather than concern herself with the descending group, Rhapsody found herself more curious about where the group had come from. Looking up the mountain from where they had fled, she found several items strewn about; the mountain was littered with what could now only be described as junk tossed away by the group. Ascending higher and higher, Rhapsody would soon come upon an area that seemed much more level than the rest of the mountainside; purposefully so in fact, as this was the area where she would find the now dilapidated remains of a house. She would quickly approach, wondering if maybe the litter that previous group had tossed aside had come from this very house; as she turned the corner however, she would immediately be met with the sight of Acsull just as he was removing his hood. Hesitation halted Rhapsody's actions initially, however upon taking notice of the crying woman and the rather weak looking old man, Rhapsody would spring into action without a second thought. "Stop right there!!" Rhapsody would shout as she rushed forward, placing herself between the old man and Acsull as quickly as she could, "Please! Leave this old man alone!!" She'd continue, throwing out her arms and splaying her wings to her sides to hide the old man as she looked up towards the green creature that towered above her by at least a foot, "I know not what this old man may have done to you, but surely it can be forgiven!" She'd finish, her words a clear showing that she had misunderstood the situation. HP: 44,142/44,142 (--) SP: 44,142/44,142 (--) KP: 44,142/44,142 (--)

...If Acsull didn't feel out of place among the humans already, there was no doubt he did now. A winged woman TOUCHED DOWN between them like a bird of prey swiping at its target, spreading both her arms and wings wide to either side to make herself a wall between herself and the old man! The Namekian recoiled both in shock of her unexpected (and completely undetectable) appearance... AS WELL as her implied accusation!
"You gotta be kidding me." Acsull muttered, taking a step back! "...What did I even do...?"
In fact, the man the stranger had jumped between stumbled back out of sheer surprise, nearly tripping over a particularly large piece of debris! A fall such as that for a man of this age might have surely wounded something important! Acsull noticed, peaking through the ends of the woman's feathered appendages and reached out for the man... before realizing what he was doing and pulling back, a frustrated grimace crossing his face. Well, wasn't this just great? Perhaps his first true attempt at trying to be a guardian of this place and it was interrupted by someone who thought HE was the enemy.
Was this fate? Or perhaps a test from the ancestors? Either way, it was a cruel trick, forcing Acsull to reign in his temper before he said or did something that could make this situation go even FURTHER off the rails!
"Calm down, miss." The old man beckoned, lightly resting his hand upon the woman's shoulder. "He is no brigand. In fact, he was just about to offer his help in cleaning up this mess."
"Yeah, I was." Acsull confirmed, nodding his head once. "...In fact, it's my mission to help where I can. I... am a protector, you see, a guardian." He placed his hand upon his chest as if to emphasize his point. "...And, for that matter, what are you? Humans don't possess wings... do they?" Acsull's eyes traced along the pair of wings this stranger sported, end-to-end, uncertain whether to be impressed with them... or disturbed. Mighty wings must they be to be able to carry something as large as a person as fast as they did. Unnatural attachments, perhaps? Acsull had heard humans sometimes liked to augment themselves through technology when they could not through more natural means.
"So let us all calm down..." The old man beckoned, slowly lowering his arms as if to represent the tension decreasing! "Tell us... What is your name, stranger? My name is Genshi." He then looked over the girl's shoulder towards Acsull, a serious, perhaps even stern look that communicated but one thing: Follow my lead.
"...And I am Acsull." The namekian continued, forcing a small smile... which slowly became more natural as the conversation shifted away from potential threats!
"You see, my home had been ransacked and ruined by some ruffians just minutes ago and this kind fellow had offered his aid to me. Might I be able to count on your aid as well?"

Rhapsody had arrived in an attempt to protect the old man, but would soon find that things weren't as cut and dry as they had appeared. The green individual before her would initially question Rhapsody's accusation, before suddenly reaching out; Rhapsody would recoil slightly, expecting the worst, but just as quickly as Acsull would reach out he would withdraw, allowing Rhapsody a brief moment of relief. Immediately after however, the old man would place his hand upon Rhapsody's shoulder and begin to explain the situation properly. As he did, Rhapsody would pull back in her wings, and slowly her expression would devolved from one of fierce determination to one of apologetic regret. "You're... not a creature of this mountain?" Rhapsody would question as her ears fell back at the realization of the mistake she'd made, "Oh no, I'm so sorry!" She'd explain, quickly bowing deeply before Acsull, "Your appearance, I've never seen one such as yourself; but that's no excuse, I was incredibly rude!!" She'd continue with a grimace, "Please forgive me, I meant no disrespect, I meant only to protect this elderly individual from any potential danger!"The scene around them was such that it may have been easy for any to make the same assumption as Rhapsody had, however for Rhapsody, that was no excuse for her initial prejudice. Even within her own village, peoples appearances varied; for her to make such a quick assumption of another simply because she'd never seen such a person before made her feel terrible. Acsull's following statements only drove home the point of her own hypocrisy as well; looking so different compared to any she'd grown up with or any she'd met since leaving her village, she knew she should have known better than to judge Acsull so quickly without taking in the merit of his actions. As luck would have it however, the situation would quickly deescalate; the old man, calling himself Genshi, would intervene and Acsull would follow suite with an introduction of his own. "Oh? A-ah!! Yes, my apologies!" Rhapsody would begin, lifting her head back up and clearing her throat as she adopted a respectful demeanor, "My name is Rhapsody; Genshi, Acsull, it's a pleasure to meet you both." She'd introduce with a light curtsy as the Grand Elder had taught her. Genshi explained the events that had led to his current situation, which left Rhapsody in dismay; the world outside her village seemed racked with such turmoil, it was unbelievable to think that any would assail such a kindly old man and leave him and his wife in such a state by themselves on the side of a mountain. Acsull was already in agreement to help the unfortunate two, and Rhapsody was just as quick to agree; such tasks as crafting and repairs were the norm back in her village after all. "I do apologize once again, Acsull!" Rhapsody would say upon turning back to the green man while she awaited Genshi's instruction, "You have a scary looking face-" She would muse, "But you're rather kind! I do hope you can forgive me, I'm still new to the world that exists beyond my village and find myself learning more and more each day." She'd finish with with another quick bow before returning a kind smile of her own to the man in exchange for his own. HP: 44,142/44,142 (--) SP: 44,142/44,142 (--) KP: 44,142/44,142 (--)

Well if there was anything Kira had learned about moving to a big city without any friends, was that it was a rather boring life to be lived. Especially with his current state of unemployment and social life. He spent quite a bit of time exploring West City, but it wasn't really home. It was so much different than Orange City and that was right down to the people. Kira had tried to socialize, go out to bars, take part it clubs and other things but nothing was filling the desire he had. He didn't know exactly what to do and it was rather hard adapting to his current situation. With all of his friends, family and students losing their life to the Orange City disaster, Kira had found himself to be a lost soul. Though there was something Kira had strongly believed in when having negative thoughts or feelings and the only way to counteract them was to do something good, to fight the negative with the positive and that's when he had set out.
He didn't really have a destination in mind or even know what he was going to do but as he flew he picked up an energy signature nearby and he just had a hunch he should check it out. Quickly he flew off in the direction and it didn't take him long before he saw black smoke rising from the location, it wasn't the type of smoke from bonfires, or a simple wood stove pumping smoke out a chimney, it was something else entirely. As he drew even closer his eyes had rested upon an elderly man, a.. green.. man and uh, an angel? Surely, it wasn't what he was expecting but maybe he could be of service, maybe he could do some good here, as it sure looked like they could use some kind of help.
It didn't take long for him to drop out of the sky, his boots touching down a meter or two away from the group. He would meet them with a warm, glowing smile on his face as he gave a little wave with his right hand and scratched the back of his head with his left. "Hi!" He said before bringing both of his hands down to his sides and looking around the place. "This place sure looks like it took a hard hit, Is there anything I can do to help out?"
It might've been strange to some, a stranger showing up without an introduction and immediately offering their assistance, but that's just how Kira was. He wasn't exactly here to make friends or get to know anybody, he just wanted to help out a community that looked like they needed it. He wasn't here for any kind of recognition or rewards, he just wanted to do the right thing and that was the end of it. Of course, if he had made some friends along the way, that would just be the bonus of it all but even that wasn't the goal.
If they didn't need any help, he really wasn't going to press the matter but he was game to do anything he could to help out! So long as their expectations or requests weren't anything unreasonable, he could see himself spending the day around here cleaning up! Given that he had just lost his home, it wasn't exactly difficult to relate to the situation here and the damage caused and though the situation was rough at first glance, it didn't seem near as bad as what happened at orange city. This place was fixable and the damage could be reversed with a little bit of time and some effort and if Kira could save these people from experience even a fraction of the pain he was going through, he'd do his absolute best.

Well... This wasn't what he expected. The winged woman (that's what the second gender was called on this world, he believed), desperately tried to patch up her mistake, even going so far as to imply she had thought he was a monster of sorts!
How flattering.
Still, Acsull ultimately didn't blame her. After all, she seemed the sheltered sort with her 180 mood-flips, the kind who's elder prevented from learning through practical methodology. He needn't resent her comments when they come from such a genuine, if misguided heart. Acsull would then hold out his hand for a handshake, the universal sign of understanding, his warm smile greeting her kindly.
"We are not perfect beings." Acsull would begin, trying to channel the wisdom of his elders. "Please, do not apologize. I understand." At least... he thought he did. The Namekian wondered if people on this world were so naturally xenophobic. While he didn't necessarily blame them, after all the history of Namek was a testament to the saying "the universe is a dangerous place", but the inhospitality and the assumed guilt was certainly alien to him. Namek was the kind of world that, despite the darkness that dogged its every step, would invite all to its world. Namekians were a peaceful people who wished nothing but the best upon those that aid them or are merely passing by, so was their natural temperament.
This is an odd world. Acsull decided, letting out a soft sigh through his nose. NOW, where do they start in rebuilding this hou-
...A NEW person showed up! Acsull wheeled around once more to see a young man with intense eyes and an... interesting hairstyle drop from the sky, requesting aid! ...And this one didn't seem all too bothered by Acsull's out-of-place appearance! The Namekian tilted his head, his welcoming smile dropping to a neutral, thoughtful frown. He had been under the impression only niche villages settle at the base of such titanic geological structures. Perhaps the warriors of this world enjoyed routes as... "scenic" as these...?
"Yes, you could say that." Acsull responded dryly, nodding over his shoulder towards the ruined house. "Some bandits destroyed this man's home. We are going to help rebuild it."
...The old man chuckled, reaching up to place a hand on Acsull's shoulder. "...You certainly have a lot of friends, don't you, my boy?"
Acsull smirked and crossed his arms over his chest.
"So it would seem."
"...In any event, with three kind strangers helping me instead of just one, we'll have my home repaired in no time. My name is Genshi. This is Acsull, and this is Rhapsody." The old man nodded at the Namekian, then the angelic woman! "...We were just about to begin. Come! We would welcome your aid."

Thankfully forgiven, Rhapsody's spirits were quickly lifted as Acsull explained his understanding. With an even brighter smile than before, she would be quick to accept Acsull's handshake; taking a subconscious note of the strange texture of his skin. She had only ever met humans and mammalian zoanthropes before, so with the air cleared between them, Rhapsody now found herself becoming interested in the green stranger. She wondered if he was perhaps a zoanthrope as well, but of a race she'd never encountered; a fish perhaps... was that even possible? The desire to ask him built up greatly, however considering the initial misunderstanding, Rhapsody was hesitant to potentially make the situation uncomfortable yet again. Acsull had just begun questioning what to do next regarding the reconstruction of the old mans house, when he found himself interrupted by the arrival of another traveling the mountainside. A spiky haired man with a rather robust build; he'd taken in the situation quickly and was already on the move to offer his assistance. "It's nice to meet you!" Rhapsody would say excitedly as she quickly gave the new individual a curtsy while the old man introduce the three to this new arrival. As the old man spoke of a budding friendship however, Rhapsody's ears would perk up; with Acsull's agreement on the matter, be it sarcastic or otherwise, Rhapsody's eyes would widen enthusiastically as a smile stretched across her face. She'd worried before that she had insulted Acsull, and even with his words of forgiveness, she wondered if she should tread carefully. Now however, Acsull had proven that he was more than willing to consider those he met as close as friends, regardless of whether he even knew them ore not; at least, this was Rhapsody's understanding! "Do you speak true!?" Rhapsody would exclaim, rushing before Acsull and staring up at him with bright wide eyes, "You consider me a friend even after my rudeness!?" She would question momentarily, "Oh, thank you very much! I would very much like to cal you my friend as well!" She'd finish excitedly as her tail swayed happily beneath her dress, before she would suddenly attempt to rush the green man into as firm a hug as she could muster. It wasn't as though Rhapsody was the easily distractable type, she simply took great care when it came to establishing positive relations. The turning of her left ear as the old man spoke would be a minor indication of her ability to pay attention in spite of her actions. She was more than ready to receive instruction, and her experience in gathering the necessary materials would hopefully be well received. As well, with such a hearty group, restoring the old man's home would have likely been a simple task; though in the background, the question remained, would repairing the home be enough? Vandals had taken to destroying the home once already and had made their escape; once the abode was restored, how long would it remain safe?? Kira listened rather intently when the Green man had given him a quick brief on what had happened here, bandits huh? Well, that wasn't exactly the most ideal of situations. "That's a damn shame really, maybe after we sort this whole mess out we can track them down and prevent something like this from happening again..?" Though, it might've been a far fetched thought, maybe it was something worth looking into. After all, they likely wouldn't do it again if they knew that it had a new protector who was going to look into this place a little more often.
A little back and forth went on along the group and Kira would remain rather silent up until the elderly man would introduce them all. Though Kira really hadn't ever met anyone like these two before, their unique appearances never even crossed his mind for a second. Earth was a rather diverse place with lots of races and creatures and there were plenty that had proven to be rather friendly and that's all Kira really was concerned about. Somebody's character was more than enough for him to take into consideration when getting to know somebody and given the fact that these two unique individuals were willing to help out this elderly man, clearly they were good people with good intentions. The Angel woman would say her words to him with a little curtsy and Kira couldn't help but simply nod his head and give a rather casual greeting to her, "It's truly a pleasure, Miss!"
He would also give a little nod to the Namekian upon learning his name but at this point the proper thing to do was address himself, "I'm Kira, and I'm glad to be here and glad I can offer some assistance!" Being polite, Kira would go rather quiet when the discussion between the rest of them was carrying on. He was a rather last minute addition to the group and didn't wish to be rude and interrupt. At this point he really didn't know what the plan was here in regards to making the situation better, but he did know that he'd do whatever he could. It was always a shame seeing this type of thing happen, it wasn't necessary.
Kira really couldn't stand those who took advantage of the people weaker than themselves, it wasn't fair or proper and those people really deserved to be taught a lesson! Though Kira truly hated fighting outside of a tournament, he would throw that aside in order to do the right thing and protect the innocent and those around him. It was just the way he was. No matter how hard the decision, he always tried to stay on the proper path and excel. He truly wanted to be better than he was the day before in all aspects of life and he'd never stop trying. For now though, he was going to stay focused on the task at hand and maybe make a few friends along the way.

"What the-!?" Acsull gasped as the Rhapsody LUNGED for him, the Namekian recoiling quickly... but not quick enough! Her arms would latch around him, squeezing him tight, the Namekian's arms shooting up in shock as he stared down at her! Was this an attack of some sort!? Had she been playing nice all along!?
...No. She really was just trying to give him a hug! Acsull blinked, his face contorting with discomfort and uncertainty as he stood there, frozen, embraced by the woman. What was he supposed to do in this situation, shove her off? Let her detach in her own time, try to remind her that they had more important things to do? A hundred possible ways this could go down arched through the Namekian's mind, each one growing more desperate and frustrated than the last! It wasn't like hugs were ALIEN to him as a form of affection. In fact, at this point, Acsull considered such a thing to be the universal sign of affection. It was just... he REALLY didn't know this woman. His "declaration" of friendship was merely a figure of speech, trying to play off the, seemingly, jokey comment of the old man! ...And yet, it appeared that he had made the mistake of assuming such humor was universally recognized as well.
"Alright... Hrm... Enough." Acsull grunted, placing a hand on Rhapsody's shoulder and pushing, gently trying to put some distance between them. "Let us focus, alright?"
Genshi would chuckle a little louder, seemingly enjoying the antics of the youth, before turning to Kira and flashing a warm, but tired smile.
"Thank you, my boy. The first thing we need to do is clear out the rubble here... We can't very-well build on what's left if there's wreckage covering it."
"Yes... uhm... Indeed." Acsull would sputter, still trying to recover from the SURPRISE HUG! If he had managed to gently push himself apart from Rhapsody, Acsull would quickly make his way for the rubble, doing his best to keep his back to everyone to hide to deep purple blush flashing across his face! ...Truly, Acsull was out of his element...

In spite of the surprise the green man displayed, Acsull seemed to accept the hug without issue, allowing it to go on for an elongated moment. Rhapsody hadn't a friend to share a hug with since leaving her village, so it was quite a refreshing experience for her; with Kira introducing himself next however, the experience would come to an end as Acsull pushed at Rhapsody's shoulder as an indication to return focus to the main task at hand. To which rhapsody would reciprocate in kind, backing away in a delicate manner; covering her mouth with her hand as she chuckled a bit at Acsull's reaction. "You must not have had many hugs growing up!" Rhapsody would remark playfully as she watched Acsull turn towards the ruined house, "Hehe, the strong, stoic type hm?" She would muse with a bright smile as the old man, Genshi, began to give his instructions to the trio. While she wanted to gather supplies as quickly as she could for the reconstruction, Genshi instead request they clear the debris that currently littered the plot of land. The task made more sense than going for supplies immediately, especially if there were still usable parts within the wreckage; though portions of the building still stood, and Rhapsody wasn't so keen on causing any further destruction. While Acsull focused keenly on the debris in front of him, keeping his back to the group, Rhapsody would turn her attention towards Kira. "You appear quite strong!" Rhapsody would remark excitedly, "While I move the smaller debris into a pile further away, could I ask you to break down the larger, unusable pieces into a more manageable size for me?" She'd ask kindly, hoping her request wouldn't come off rudely like some kind of order, "I'm quite fast at moving supplies!" She'd continue confidently, patting a clenched fist against her chest, "I often ran supplies to those of my village on the daily! Though... none of them could fly, and I've come to notice that in spite of the lack of wings, many out here in the rest of the world seem to be able to do so..." She'd finish with her smile slowly fading as she contemplated the legitimacy of her role. Flight was what gave Rhapsody the edge in her day to day tasks back in her village, and it made up for her lack of physical strength like her friend Aiden had. Both Acsull and Kira seemed pretty well built and strong however, and while she didn't know if Acsull could, Kira had already proven he had the ability of flight. Being capable of flight AND being strong seemed like an incredibly unfair combination; her confidence wouldn't waver however, with such a handicap, Rhapsody would simply have to work harder than usual so as to not become a hindrance for the other two on this task! As he witnessed the hug Kira couldn't help but give a rather blank stare, it had caught him by surprise and the green mans reaction was rather entertaining. It was pretty obvious that he wasn't used to this kind of thing and Rhapsody would even call him out on it which just made the moment seem a little bit funnier that it was initially, though Kira would keep a straight face and not let his amusement show. He wasn't that type of guy and he wouldn't tease or make fun of Acsull. Maybe if they got better acquainted, he'd do it afterwards in a more private situation. One where it was just the two of them. He was clearly a decent person, given the fact that he was here offering his assistance, maybe there could be a friendship there? Maybe between all of them?
The embrace was rather quick and the work would start immediately after. Rhapsody had made a point to tell Kira that he appeared strong and he couldn't help but smile lightly. It wasn't very often somebody said things like that to him. Kira always tried to remain humble but he had to admit that it was nice that somebody had commented, it was nice having the hard work he put in noticed by those around him. Though after her kind words, she had a rather simple request for him and he'd nod his head without any hesitation. "I can't see that being much of a problem, I'll get started!"
With that being said Kira would start immediately and head over to the huge pile of debris and start working away at it. With his incredible amount of strength it didn't take much to break it into smaller pieces, it didn't matter whether it be concrete or wood, with a simple punch or chop from his hands he'd break it with ease. Though as he worked away, he couldn't help but bring up a little big of small talk and given that he had a rather curious nature, he wanted to get to know them a little bit better and his first big question was about their heritage, what exactly were they?
"So.. I really don't want this to sound like bad or anything but uh.. I've never seen a large green man or a.. winged woman before? So like, What are the two of you?" Kira would say this loud enough for the both of them to hear. Maybe it was the fact that he was young, but he really didn't think this was an inappropriate thing to ask but he was concerned about the way he worded it. The last thing he wanted to do was offend anybody, that wasn't his intention. He didn't like causing people harm, physically, emotionally, it didn't matter what it was. He wanted to be peoples positive reinforcement, their support if they needed it. All he could do was hope that they'd be cool with it, after all it was purely innocent curiosity.

Earth was turning out to be quite the interesting... and blunt vacation. He had come to help a man with his destroyed house and next thing Acsull knew, he was baby-sitting younglings... or at least, it felt that way from their demeanor. Perhaps manners were a thing made only for the city-folk on this planet, to accommodate those that were being made to live together day-in and day-out. He supposed he could understand that as most villagers on Namek were the same ones you'd know and live with from the beginning to the end of your life. Something had to be done to regulate behavior, ensure no bad-blood lasted long between members. Perhaps Earthling societies came to the same conclusion as their numbers swelled beyond counting.
...It was only a shame the rest of their planet didn't heed their wisdom
'You must not have had many hugs growing up!' 'I've never seen a large green man before.' What a thing to say to someone you've just met. It would have been irritating if Acsull hadn't given them the benefit of the doubt and assumed these poor, seemingly socially-sheltered people didn't know any better. ...It was a shame such an assumption came at the expense of his perception of human society at large.
...He was just starting to draw on some favorable similarities between their culture and his too...
"...I SUGGEST we get to work." Acsull grumbled, shrugging off both questions. "These people lost their home. Stop acting like children."
...Ouch, Acsull... A little harsh, wasn't it...?
He did have a point, though. Kira and Rhapsody could talk all day at... what was it called... "The Mall" or whatever it was Earthlings did when they had free time. They DID, however, offer their aid and that meant NOW they had to give it. The Namekian did, however, grunt in acknowledgement at Rhapsody's request, he and Kira breaking, chopping, and tearing apart larger pieces of rubble into smaller, much more manageable bits for the winged girl to ferry away. Now this, quiet, contemplative labor, was refreshing to the Namekian. Nothing but his own thoughts and the task at hand to hold his focus, the inane chatter halted... at least for now. He found himself musing about home, remembering the soil he had to help till as a child, how frustrated he was with the basic, mindless work, how eager he was to play with his friends.
...How funny it was the same kind of labor was now sheltering him.
I already miss my village... He muttered under his breath, tossing another broken piece of concrete over his shoulder. It's all so different here...

Kira had accepted the request Rhapsody had made, and so the three were off to work! While Kira took to breaking up the larger debris into more manageable parts, Rhapsody had quickly take to flight and began moving the smaller pieces away from the foundation. She would pile them a short distance away, keeping things as well organized as she could by separating metals and woods; as well as by keeping completely worthless bits separate from the less damaged parts that could still potentially see use in the reconstruction of the building. The best part was find the doors to the house; while the doors had been broken into segmented pieces, they could still be used with some repair at least as a temporary measure until new doors were procured! As they worked, Kira would speak up; he was clearly a bit awkward in his question, but Rhapsody didn't hold it against him. Since leaving her village, she'd found herself asking a great deal of questions as well, and considering she'd never met another like herself before either, it only seemed natural to be curious. Unfortunately for Kira, there was no better answer for Rhapsody to give; the only one who knew of her origin was the Grand Elder of her village, and she'd never been curious enough to ask about it. "Hehe, it doesn't sound bad or anything!" Rhapsody would answer, stopping in midair as she carried broken sections of a dresser, "But as you can see-" She'd continue, doing a quick pirouette in the air and finishing the spin with a wink, "I'm a girl!" She'd state matter of factly with a slight bit of a mischievous tone to her voice as she gave a light laugh. She certainly knew what exactly Kira was trying to ask, but she didn't consider herself much different than anyone else. Humans all typically looked about the same with their lack of fur and small ears on the sides of their heads; while Zoanthropes seemed much more distinctive due to the many different animals their genetics pulled from. Rhapsody found herself somewhere in between; she lacked fur and had a mostly human appearance, but had distinctive features that were surely pulled from animal genetics. Small fangs, cat-like ears and a tail, as well as wings from some kind of massive bird. Her features didn't exactly mesh together all too normally, even for a Zoanthrope, but it was an appearance she'd had all her life growing up; coupled with the kind disposition of those back in her village, and Rhapsody had been left never caring to question her appearance until recently. Before Rhapsody could enjoy any further casual banter with Kira however, Acsull would suddenly snap at the two of them, suggesting they focus on their work. The sudden shout would catch Rhapsody off guard, causing her to flinch; her ears would fold back as she adopted an apologetic demeanor, even as a minor curiosity tugged at her as to why Acsull had suddenly become so upset. "I'm sorry..." She would respond meekly to Acsull, hoping not to infuriate her new friend once again before turn back towards Kira, "We can talk later Kira." She'd say, forcing a smile before rushing to return back to her task. It was a strange feeling to be yell at and scolded in such a manner for simply conversing, but it showed just how different Acsull's upbringing must have been compared to her own. It was rare that any ever had what people would call a "bad day" back in her village, but even when they did, hardly anyone ever showed such aggression. Building a new home or repairing an old one was always akin to a community get together, and to be working in silence felt utterly alien to Rhapsody. Acsull had a point however, and Rhapsody neither wanted to upset him or the old man with something as small as conversation; she would return her focus solely on the task of removing the debris from the plot of land, moving now at a much quicker pace so as to finish up in a timely manner. Though he did try to make a light conversation, Kira didn't stop working at all. The materials from the rubble would be broken down at a rather rapid pace and passed along as per the request of Rhapsody. Kira was more than happy to be there, more than happy to help the people of this village and he was rather excited to get to know the two of them. After all, they were all volunteering to help the unlucky ones, the less fortunate individuals who had disaster strike. Pausing his work for all but a moment, Kira's eyes would meet Rhapsody as she did he little spin and gave him a wink. Kira couldn't help but chuckle happily at Rhapsody's response. "I kind of figured that part out, I just.. haven't seen a woman with wings before.. That's all, hence my curiosity."
Though it was almost immediately shut down, the green man had absolutely ZERO interest in communicating like that or getting to know each other. It appeared that Kira might've pinged this individual wrong. Stop acting like children? It was a harmless conversation WHILE they were working, what the hell? It was upon Rhapsody's apology that Kira would drop the large chunk of concrete back down near his feet and give his full attention to Acsull and it was clear that he wasn't exactly happy about it.
Though before he spoke, he glared to Rhapsody very briefly. "You shouldn't apologize, in fact.." He once again looked over at Acsull. "We're both here and WILLING to help to the best of our abilities and I do feel for this town and it's people but I'm more than capable of working and talking at the same time, in fact it's quite harmless." Kira paused for a moment to think about the situation.
"What happened here had a negative impact on plenty of people, I'll admit that but what we're doing, helping out? Getting to know each other on the most basic level? That's the positivity we're counteracting the negative with. The people will see it, they'll feel it and though it might not CURE this situation completely, it's a step in the right direction." What Kira said he truly believed in. Conversing wasn't wrong and focusing only on the goal in silence wasn't going to improve spirits then. It was going to take a lot more than cleaning up debris and rubble to get this town back into shape. If he could show the people of this town that even though they lost their homes, they still had their lives, their friends and their health and that was ABSOLUTELY more important than material objects. It all started with companion, friendship and the good deeds of others and he wasn't about to let this Greenman take the little light away by snuffing out what positive vibes they could display.
"Yet here you are, saying we're acting like children over a friendly conversation? While we're bother working? That's a good way to lose your volunteers." Kira shrugged his shoulders slightly, standing up for Rhapsody. "If anything you owe her an apology, making somebody apologize while they've done nothing wrong and offered their services to others?" With that, Kira would pick up one more piece of rubble and break it before tossing it into the smaller pile. He didn't know how Acsull was going to react but he was hoping this wouldn't cause a huge scene. He was just standing up for what he believed in and he really didn't think he was wrong here.

...This boy was turning out to be more of a headache than a help. How hard was it to handle the job, of which there are stakes, and save the "get-to-know-you's" until AFTER Genshi got his house back...? Acsull didn't even spare Kira a glance as he moved each piece of rubble from the house's foundation, refusing to acknowledge his inane ramblings. As spiritually intune Namekians were... this idea that TALKING while doing work would somehow undo the damage done to this man's house was borderline crazy. He knew Earthlings weren't exactly a "united" people, with dozens of different beliefs... but he had no IDEA they went this far!
...Acsull actually had to stop and stare at Kira as he proclaimed his ridiculous beliefs, the Namekian looking at him as if he had grown a third eye or lost his nose or something! ...What was more, he went out of his way to threaten the old man, basically claiming that he'd walk away if he didn't get the respect he thought he was owed!
...That got under Acsull's skin. It wasn't enough to attack the Namekian warrior's request, to act like a child and not dedicate themselves fully to a task. NOR was it enough to stand there like an indignant man-child and DEMAND to be playacted! ...No, he had to threaten that he was gonna walk away right here and leave an innocent man to his fate.
...There were a hundred things Acsull could say, things that swelled in his throat and danced across his tongue. He could call out Kira for being a lazy, short-tempered fool who would sooner leave his elders to rot than work with someone he dislikes. He could have slapped Kira with his own philosophy, noting that he was leaving "bad energies" behind with that threat alone, that he didn't really BELIEVE what he was preaching. Acsull could have simply dismissed Kira with a snort, letting the boy work himself up into a frenzy, ripe for getting a lesson in discipline the warrior's way.
...But there was really only one thing that he would say that would placate this ingrate... And, perhaps he was being too rough with them... Irritation aside, it seemed that Earthlings were far too emotional for their own good, unable to see reason when struck with even the most minor of discomfort.. such as "not talking while working." They were impulsive. Well-meaning, yes, but slaves to their whims.
...Acsull couldn't treat these people like Namekians if he was going to live amongst them, it seemed.
The Namekian would set down the broken piece of wood he was carrying, let out a deep breath... and turn to Rhapsody.
"...I apologize for my outburst." He started, his jaw clenched... but his voice smooth and genuine. "You caught me off guard with your behavior... and I did not know how to react. I behaved... unjustly. Forgive me, Rhapsody."
He would then glance at Kira... but say nothing. He did not demand for reconciliation on his end so he would receive none. Instead, Acsull would return to work, determined to silence the demons stirring in his head with the labor at hand. ...He need not trouble himself with what these humans were doing. After all, they had progressed THIS FAR on their own. Perhaps they had a different way of doing things.
